Function

Reporting to the Chief Quality Officer, the Site Quality Manager supervises compliance with Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes to ensure that they meet Automatic Systems' quality standards.

Your responsibilities are as follow:

Lead a team of 3 QC In/Out technicians :

  • Provide guidance to put in place and maintain current and new Raw materials and finished goods Inspection plans & specifications compliant to Standards
  • Provide guidance in Metrology/Testing and Training to maintain Quality standards
  • Provide guidance &Trainings to implement Root cause & Risk analysis culture
  • Put in place and report relevant KPIs to monitor QC performance: Lead monthly Quality Review meetings. (defect rates, global quality cost, claim statistics,)

Quality control process :

  • Work closely with CQO for Global Quality Strategy deployment and Processes improvements
  • Develop and implement Quality Control processes based on customer feedback and internal analysis. Do so in collaboration with other technical departments (e.g., Marketing, R&D, Industrialization and Production)
  • Internal Audit of processes and organization: be part of Internal Auditing Team and propose improvements in the framework of ISO 9001& ISO 14001

Accountable & Responsible of Quality Control :

  • Conduct detailed inspections of raw materials, intermediate products and finished goods. Verify compliance with quality requirements. Approve acceptable batches and reject defectives
  • Work closely with R&D, Marketing, Procurement and Supplier Development Engineer to ensure that raw materials and finished goods are compliant to Standards
  • Monitor and report: maintain accurate records, perform statistical analysis and submit detailed reports to appropriate stakeholders. Make sure that negative trends are spotted and acted upon before production deviates out of tolerance
  • Handle customers claims: investigation, root cause analysis, documentation, communication to the stakeholders.
  • Work closely with production to resolve problems. Ensure that negative trends are identified and addressed before production goes off track
  • Attend meetings with Contractors as and when required
  • Attend to Design Reviews cycle with Marketing/Industrialization/R&D for New product Introduction and current product’s changes

Continuous improvement :

  • Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement. Develop new, efficient procedures to enhance product quality

Profile

  • Engineer or Master's degree in a technical field (electromechanics)
  • At least 5 years' proven experience as a Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager in an industrial environment
  • Solid experience in quality management systems and quality control (practical application)
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team (collaborative and participative management)
  • Change management skills: you are a proactive, team-oriented change agent, with a practical and collaborative approach to implementing and maintaining operational disciplines
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to adapt to digital tools
  • Analytical skills: Good understanding of data analysis and statistical methods
  • Expertise in problem-solving methods (5 Whys, Ishikawa Diagram, PDCA, 8D) and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma and ISO 9001 standards
  • Fluent in French and English (min. B2)
